Scope Distributors offers a series of door handles in 304 grade stainless steel. The 304 grade is suitable for home, office and food environments and for internal doors.

The 304 grade is food grade stainless steel and suitable for kitchen and cookery environments. In addition to resisting various acids found in meats, milk, fruits and veggies, there are also no chemicals within type 304 stainless steel that can migrate to your food, making it a safe, strong and durable choice for appliances, dishware, utensils, food storage and more.

Using 304 grade stainless steel is not recommended for outdoor environments. The 316 grade stainless steel is the recommended choice for out door situations.

304 can withstand corrosion from most oxidizing acids. That durability makes 304 easy to sanitize, and therefore ideal for kitchen and food applications.

Aesthetically, there is no difference between 304 and 316 grade stainless steel. In fact, the only way to differentiate between them is to test them chemically. The main difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel is 316 SS has the addition of molybdenum.

Cleaning 304 Stainless Steel

The most effective way to clean 304 stainless steel is to use vinegar. There are chemical based cleaners available which you can choose if desired.

Method: Pour a decent amount of vinegar onto a cloth or soft scrub, and rub it on the stainless surface where discoloration has appeared. Leave vinegar for 5 to 10 minutes on the surface. Then clean it with cold water.
