EN Ratings - choosing your door closer
Door Closers are rated by opening/closing force "Size". The Size ratings are from EN1 to EN6, with Size EN1 the weakest strength and Size EN6 the strongest. EN1 is also suitable for disabled door applications.
Size #1 = 0.45 of a kilogram closing force, minimum
Size #2 = 0.9 of a kilogram closing force, minimum ~standard door width ≤ 850 mm
Size #3 = 1.36 of a kilogram closing force, minimum ~standard door width ≤ 950 mm
Size #4 = 1.81 of a kilogram closing force, minimum ~standard door width ≤ 1100 mm
Size #5 = 2.26 of a kilogram closing force, minimum ~standard door width ≤ 1600 mm
Size #6 = 2.72 of a kilogram closing force, minimum ~standard door width ≤ 1600 mm
Many popular door closers have an adjustable open/close or latch speed setting. Example: If a door closer is listed with a open/close or latch speed of 3-6 then it is adjustable through the Power range of EN3 (1.36 kg of force) to EN6 (2.72 kg of force).

LCN 4010/4020/4110 Series Closers
The 4010, 4020 and 4110 Series are heavy-duty closers that meet demands for high-traffic installations and each are designed specifically for unique mounting applications.
They are UL and cUL listed, meet ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 standards and boast 30-year warranties.
They feature a standard plastic cover, with optional plated finishes for the cover, arm and fasteners. They also feature the LCN Green Dial spring force indicator, which takes the guesswork out of adjustment.

LCN 4030 Series Closer
The heavy-duty 4030 Series is a universal closer designed for moderate traffic conditions, meeting ANSI/BHMA A156.4 Grade 1 standards and ADA reduced opening force requirements.
It complements the heavy-duty 4000 Series, and offers a choice of three mountings and multiple arm options. The 4030 Series is UL and cUL listed for self-closing doors without hold-open and boasts a 30-year limited warranty.
The 4030 Series features a metal cover, with optional plated finish available for cover, arm and fasteners. It mounts hinge side, top jamb and parallel arm, on left- or right-swinging doors.
Materials include a high-strength cast iron cylinder and forged steel main arm.

LCN 4000T Series Closer
The 4000T Series wall pocket heavy-duty closer is designed for use with an SEM 7850 wall magnet, to control the fire and smoke barrier doors with a maximum swing of 90°. The closer is UL and cUL listed with a standard arm for self-closing doors and boasts a 30-year warranty.

Falcon SC70A Series Closer
The heavy-duty SC70A Series is built for busy commercial and institutional applications that require reliability and easy maintenance. Finishes
Most door closers will be of a silver matt finish. They can however be painted to your desired color. Matt black is popular as is white.
