Every home has an entrance. Every entrance has a lock. The Austyle Entrance Sets in 316 stainless steel (ss) correspond to your home and lock solutions. Austyle offer the combined entrance set with lock mechanism. The lock option is either an 85cc security lock or the myLock with a privacy function.
Austyle are renown for there 316SS door lever sets. Their patented stainless steel bearing race mechanism out performs mechanical functionality. Tamper proof concealed fixing screw head ensures improved home security. With a 4 hour fire rating on door levers you can be assured of family safety.
The Austyle Long Plates will fit some Aluminium framed door styles. Long back plates are 228mm in length and 32.2mm wide. The euro plates can also be used on gates with a 50mm style using a 25/30mm back-set mortice lock. Lock centres remain at 85cc. Both available from Architectural Design Hardware with your order. Note: Euro privacy plates are only suited to 60mm backsets and will not fit narrow styles.

All long plate 316ss are 228mm in length by 32.2mm wide. For standard doors these will fit when using a 45 to 60mm backset mortice lock.
Where narrow style doors exampled by balcony hinge doors of aluminum style are to be used, you will need to check the style width plus glass intrusion. Narrow style locks to suit start at 25mm backset. This will give a close shave meeting of lever and frame dependent on the furniture projection of 55mm!

Cleaning
Your 316ss grade lever and plate can easily be cleaned using warm water some dish washing liquid and a cloth. Wipe down. Dry with a clean cloth.
Where tea stain has appeared, using a clean kitchen metal scourer ball you rub the area till clear of tea stain. Tea Stain is a form of surface corrosion found on 316 stainless steel. To avoid tea stain clean your hardware regularly. On the coast clean more frequently during the wet months. Note: if your kitchen scourer is dirty it will transfer onto the lever.
The occasional spray with something like WD-40 on the mechanical and bearing components will prolong the life of the locks and lever function. Be liberal with the spray. If you live on the coast road you will need to spray more frequently during the wet season and windy months. Salt is in the wind. Do not forget window fixings, they need attention too.
Conclusion
Using 316ss on you home at the beach is ideal and recommended. 316ss is corrosion resistant. It will not rust like we see on many old cars. It will however tea stain if left uncleaned.
In areas of high salt as we have in Perth along the Swan and our coastal beach fronts, 316 stainless steel for door hardware and window hardware is going to save costs. You can also use brass fittings as an alternative. Brass is also corrosive resistant.
